Dahlia awoke that night after her sickness left and Olivia explained what had happened before escorting her to Jonathan and the others. They were sleeping and, after some quick explanations and a peek out the roof at the force of knights gathered to fight the enemy, they tried to get some rest before they had to leave. Dahlia discovered that there were black things in the rain as well. After some fitful rest they boarded up Jonathan’s house and he snuck them out to the waterfront – the invisibility potion wasn’t even needed. All the guards eyes were upon the approaching enemy. They started to swim to freedom, but Dragomir made a horrifying discovery in the water – the body of J.C. With no time to mourn they moved on quickly and got outside the city walls, watching the charge of the knights from the relative safety of the wall. The strange druid decimated the horde of knights with a wave of destructive power and with that the group fled, finding shelter in a clearing. They rested, but Dahlia and Charles had a horrifying vision of Dragomir murdering J.C. upon waking they found it to be true and Dragomir ran off into the woods to have some time to himself. Their shock over this revelation was short lived however, as strange green sprites seemed to torment them until they moved on to the small town of Patrick’s Den. They supped at the inn and Dahlia, once more, became inebriated and ended up in Jonathan’s lap (and beyond.) Meanwhile Antoinette and Dragomir went to talk to a boy outside who revealed that almost all of the children were stricken with a sleeping sickness. Charles joined them soon and the child ended up falling asleep on the dire rabbit. They carted him to the town doctor before deciding to investigate the forest and lake where the boy had been playing. The green sprites, very similar to the Earth stories of leprechauns, trapped them in the forest and messed with Dragomir’s illness until Charles offered them his class ring for freedom. They returned to the inn after many hours had passed in the forest and tried to sleep, but the leprechauns tormented them still, targeting anyone not wearing green – that would be Jonathan and Dahlia. Both were bitten by the leprechauns and Jonathan would not wake up. Dragomi was forced into his evil persona by the leprechauns until he fled, though Piffle tried to raise his spirits. Eventually Dragomir returned and agreed to the aid of the odd voice in his head, who helped them capture a leprechaun. In exchange for some of Dahlia’s bracelets the leprechaun lifted the sleeping disease from those affected. Upon waking Jonathan revealed that four leaf clovers could be attracting the leprechauns (who were actually emerald fae), but it usually stays in the forest. Heading into town Antoinette, Charles, and Dragomir (with the animal companion’s aid) uprooted bunches of four leaf clover from the town before going to get some strong coffee – they all needed it.
